Anyways, I am a huge fan of Netflix. I think it is one of the greatest invention ever. Not only do you get to get new movies in the mail but they have this thing called instant movies. You are literally able to choose from thousands of movies and watch them instantly on your computer!! I just love it and talk about it constantly. It is like your own personal video store. They even have t.v. shows, entire seasons. Classics like Gimme a Break to recent shows like C.S.I.
I usually watch Netflix on my laptop. There have been times where I hooked my laptop up to the television and we all were able to watch a movies But my laptop has a habit of running hot so I was not able to do that as often as I liked. Then I had the opportunity to check out the Roku Player. It about the size of my hand and weighs less than a pound. And it connects to Netflix wirelessly!! I was able to set it up out of the box in less than 5 minutes. Check out the back of it, super simple for even me
I took it out the box, plugged in those audio/video cords into the back of the box and into the television. Plugged in the power cord and it was up and loading. A beautiful purple screen popped up. I did have to enter a special code to my Netflix account so they (Roku and Netflix) could talk to each other. It did not take long at all.
Now you can only watch movies that you add to your queue. This has pros and cons. One big pro is you can really control what is watched. If I want the kids to only watch cartoons, that is all they have access to. The con is you have to remember to add a movie you want to watch to the queue. I added movies with no problem from my iPod Touch. The picture quality is great and there was no buffering. I have not even mentioned the best part of the Roku. You can move it from room to room. For movie night I use it in the living room and later I move it to my office for when I am working. I can move it all around the house! We are truly enjoying the Roku. It makes movie night so much easier!

Oh this is definitely on my Christmas wish list now. Great review, thanks for sharing.
